Our work
North America
Today, the region faces a complex and evolving range of challenges related to extremism and violent extremism. Over the past decade, politically motivated attacks have become more prevalent in North America, and there has been a consistent and marked rise in undetermined or unaffiliated terrorism. Recently, violent extremism and terrorism in North America have predominantly been carried out by individuals unaffiliated with specific terrorist organizations but influenced by ideologies that include Extreme Right Wing Terrorism.
To help examine and counter the threat posed by Extreme Right-Wing Terrorism, Hedayah mapped prevailing narratives and developed tailored counter-messaging recommendations for both the United States and Canada.
Hedayah also worked with practitioners and experts in Canada to develop Hedayah’s Rehabilitation & Reintegration of Minors Toolkit – an expert guide to help practitioners working on the rehabilitation and reintegration of children affected by terrorism in Northeast Syria.
