Hedayah held the Seventh International Research Conference in collaboration with the Euro-Arab Foundation, the European Institute for Counter Terrorism and Conflict Prevention, Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, Moonshot, United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), and University of Granada.
Sponsored by the Government of Spain, the event addressed current and evolving threats posed by extremism, violent extremism, and terrorism.
The Conference brought together international researchers and practitioners to identify emerging trends, with a particular focus on the evolving implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on radicalization and recruitment efforts, as well as the connections between climate change and extremism and violent extremism, among other pressing topics. The event also facilitated interactive discussions on research methodologies and the challenges of CEVE focused research.
Strategic partners included the Royal United Services Institute, the Cyber Threats Research Centre at Swansea University, and Tech against Terrorism.
