Countering Violent Extremism Awareness Raising

On 23 November 2016, Hedayah conducted a CVE Awareness Raising training workshop for government officials of Jordan.
The workshop is part of the STRIVE Global Program activities supported by the EU in Amman, Jordan.
The participants of the workshop included thirty-three officials from thirteen different government ministries and agencies. The workshop was conducted by H.E. Mr. Maqsoud Kruse, Executive Director, Mr. Ivo Veenkamp, Deputy Executive Director and Dr. Naida Chamilova, STRIVE Global Program Manager of Hedayah.
They introduced Hedayah and the STRIVE Global Program. They also focused on the concepts, methodologies and good practices of CVE, national strategies, foreign terrorist fighters, de-radicalization, rehabilitation and reintegration. The role of education, community engagement and communications in CVE were also addressed.
