The International Research Conference

Hedayah held the Fifth International Research Conference in partnership with M&C Saatchi, Swansea University, Trends Research and Advisory, and UN Women.
The event was sponsored in part by the European Union STRIVE Global Program and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Spain and the Republic of Turkey.
The Conference brought together researchers, government officials, academics, and development experts to identify current needs for effective on-the-ground implementation of P/CEVE programs and ways to translate research into actionable policies.
The event focused on addressing the ever-changing manifestation of extremism and violent extremism, including the adaptation of new technologies and methods of communication. Thematic topics included religious and far-right narratives, counter-narratives, recruitment and technology, media, education, reintegration among others.
Strategic partners included the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, Aktis Strategy, BRICS, Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping, and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), the International Centre for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence (ICSR), RESOLVE Network, and the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).
