Creative Minds for Social Good
As extremists and violent extremists continue to spread dangerous ideologies online, Hedayah forged a united front among government, private industry and inspired, individual voices to counter extremist and violent extremist messaging.
Through Creative Minds for Social Good, Hedayah and the U.S. Department of State along with local media and technology hubs empowered credible voices in the region to develop targeted campaigns in multiple countries.
We built the capacity of youth leaders and university students along with the guidance from local industry experts, who served as mentors. In total, the program resulted in 30 videos with over seven million views across all social media platforms.
The role of social media is yet another key area that requires our collective commitment to CVE innovation and creativity in all aspects in order to create effective alternative messaging.
